You Can Trust Me With Your Dental Implants

My team and I do all we can to make your experience as convenient as possible. Did you know that I can perform the entire dental implant procedure in my office? It is not uncommon for other practices to recommend a specialist for certain parts of this treatment. I am able to place and restore implants in my office. Read on to learn more about how this makes the dental implant process more efficient and effective.

Benefits of In-House Dental Implants

If you are in need of a tooth replacement option, I may have recommended dental implants to you. If you are unfamiliar, a dental implant is a post-shaped synthetic tooth root that is implanted into the jawbone. To complete the treatment, the post is fitted with a replacement tooth. Patients who have received dental implants love them because they are a permanent solution that not only restores the function of the tooth but also looks identical to a natural tooth.

Because the process for dental implants is rather involved, other dental practices may refer you to a specialist for the beginning stages of treatment. I have extensive training in the entire dental implant process, and I am happy to perform the treatment from start to finish in my office. This not only saves you a considerable amount of time, but I am also able to be hands-on throughout the entire procedure, making for a consistent experience with quality results. Depending on your needs, I may recommend one single implant, a permanent bridge, or even permanently fixed dentures.

If you are interested in learning more about dental implants for you or a loved one, be sure to contact my office located in Cincinnati, OH. My team will be happy to answer any questions you may have or schedule an appointment. I look forward to seeing you soon!

See How Porcelain Veneers Improved The Smile Of A Patient Like You And Learn How You Can Have The Same Results!

Are you unhappy with the appearance of your teeth? Do you watch movie stars and models and stare at their beautiful, perfect, white teeth, longing for a similar smile? Well, we are here to tell you that Dr. Andrew Bartish of Velle Dental can make all of your smile dreams come true. While there are a number of treatments that can improve the aesthetics of your smile, there is one in particular that gives the movie star smile you are after — porcelain veneers. In fact, we recently had a patient who received porcelain veneers to improve imperfections in her teeth from composite bonding that had begun to stain and crack.

What are Porcelain Veneers?

If you are unfamiliar, porcelain veneers are tooth-colored, wafer-thin shells that are permanently placed over the teeth to improve any number of imperfections. Patients love this treatment because it results in a uniform, yet natural-looking smile. Veneers can be used to improve imperfections such as:

  • Permanently discolored teeth
  • Teeth with chips, cracks, and bumps
  • Teeth that are too short or look too small
  • Gaps between teeth

If you look at the before and after pictures of our patient, you will see that she had many of the issues mentioned above. After receiving 10 minimal prep porcelain veneers, she now has a beautiful, uniform smile that she loves to show off! This entire transformation was completed in two office visits.

The Importance of Caring For Veneers

As with any dental treatment, it is important to care for your teeth properly to ensure your beautiful results remain. While veneers are durable, they are not indestructible. Although veneers do not stain easily, it is important to follow our directions about what foods to avoid, as veneers cannot be whitened using any teeth whitening products. Veneers can be handled in the same way as your natural teeth. We recommend brushing twice daily and flossing once daily.

If you are interested in learning more about how veneers can give you a movie star smile and want to see if you would be a candidate for treatment, be sure to contact our office located in Cincinnati, OH to schedule an appointment. We want to help you get the smile of your dreams that you can’t wait to show off to your family and friends!

What Is Full Mouth Reconstruction And How Could It Benefit You?

At Velle Dental, we are able to assist patients who need full mouth reconstruction. You may also have heard of the term to describe this process as “full mouth rehabilitation” or “full mouth restoration.” Full mouth reconstruction is the process of rebuilding the teeth in the upper and lower jaws at the same time. If you or a loved one has experienced tooth loss or extreme decay, we can help.

Why Would Full Mouth Reconstruction Be Needed?

It can be upsetting to deal with recurrent dental issues. Patients who suffer from damaged or missing teeth often have issues with their day-to-day lives. For example, they may struggle to eat certain foods or chew properly. Self-esteem issues and depression are also common in patients with severe dental issues. We are here to help restore our patients’ oral health, and we have the added benefit of helping improve their lives. We may recommend full mouth reconstruction to patients who have experienced issues such as:

  • Teeth lost to decay or trauma
  • Teeth have been injured or fractured
  • Teeth have experienced severe wear due to acid erosion
  • Ongoing jaw or muscle discomfort or headache due to bite issues

Treatments We May Recommend

During the examination, we will create a treatment plan and explain the process and steps needed to restore your oral health. The length of your treatment will be determined by the state of your oral health and the types and numbers of treatments needed. It is important to remember that, although it may seem like a tedious process, the results will be worth it in the end. For full mouth reconstruction, we may recommend treatments such as:

The process of full mouth reconstruction can be quite extensive, so it is important to choose a dental team with years of experience. Dr. Andrew Bartish is able to create an extensive plan that has impeccable attention to detail and leaves his patients with teeth that have optimal function, an ideal bite, and a flawless smile.

If you are located in the Cincinnati, OH area and are interested in learning more about full mouth reconstruction for you or a loved one, be sure to contact our office to schedule an appointment. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Benefits of Dental Implants Over Dentures

When patients visit our office and are frustrated with the negative effects of dentures such as discomfort and eating issues, we are happy to recommend an alternative treatment that can restore their oral health. We commonly recommend dental implants to our patients when they are looking to move away from dentures. Dental implants provide a fixed base for replacement teeth. Over time, the prosthesis fuses with the jawbone to create a permanent and lasting solution. Once you have healed, the process is completed with a replacement tooth structure, such as a dental crown or even an implant-supported denture.

Patients love that dental implants closely resemble their natural teeth. Implants are a permanent fixture in your mouth and eliminate problems such as slipping and hardware that can break. Dental implants can easily last for the rest of your life if cared for properly.

Patients are also thrilled that there are no food restrictions with dental implants. Patients who wear dentures or have experienced tooth loss often have difficulty chewing certain foods and find themselves eliminating foods from their diet or changing the way they eat. Since dental implants function in the same way as natural teeth, there are not those challenges.

If you are located in the Cincinnati, OH area and are interested in learning more about dental implants for you or a loved one, be sure to call our office to schedule an appointment. We are happy to explain the process fully, evaluate if you are a candidate and help you move forward in restoring your oral health. We look forward to seeing you soon!
